Andersen Windows

andersen-gray-logoIn 1903, Danish immigrant Hans Andersen started the Andersen window business Wisconsin. Back then, their wooden window frames were created from logs that came down from the St. Croix River.

In 1905, Andersen pioneered a two-bundle system, cutting down on construction and assembly time. The product earned the title, Ten Minute Window.

1932 saw the birth of the first comprehensive window complete with sashes, a frame, and hardware.

By 1952, Andersen Windows again made history by being the first to fit Welded Insulating Glasses unto its window areas to ward off frost and condensation.

ANDERSEN-A-SeriesIn 1991, the company introduced its new development, Fibrex, which is a material of combined wood fiber and vinyl. In 2003, the company celebrated its 100th year in business by spearheading a 100 Years/100 Homes Project in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity. This project pledged to build a hundred homes worth $5 million over a span of five years.

Currently, the headquarters of Andersen Windows is located in Bayport, Minnesota. Its manufacturing plant measures 2.8 million square feet and can construct almost six million window and door products every year for the international market.
